Since 1998, Nicola McGill has been helping people live fuller and healthier lives through complementary therapies.

BIOGRAPHY

Upon graduating as an Aromatherapist in 1999, she started her own Aromatherapy practice in Brentwood, England. It was here that she focused on supporting women with Aromatherapy during their Pregnancy, using aromatherapy as a supporting modality during each semester, labor and post natal recovery. She had the privilege of being able to be at the births of many children whilst using aromatherapy to support the mothers.

In 2003 she relocated to Bonita Springs in Florida where she continued with her work in private practice working with people looking to support their health and wellbeing on a Holistic Level.

In August 2006, she moved to Boulder, Colorado and continued her work at the Whole Health Wellness Center.

In May 2008, Nicola was and still is employed by Boulder Community Hospital as a part time Oncology Massage Therapist at their Center for Integrative Care, located in the Tebo Family Medical Pavilion, which is home to Rocky Mountain Cancer Center. Here she is able to support oncology patients on an inpatient and outpatient setting, with gentle massage techniques, reflex touch, lymphedema management and breast cancer rehabilitation. She works alongside other members of the centers team of complementary care practitioners, which also includes a Breast Health Navigator, to provide support and gentle healing to Cancer patients on the journey to recovery. She is involved with educational talks and discussions both at the hospital and in the Boulder community on Aromatherapy, Lymphedema Management, Oncology Massage and the importance of a more gentle approach with Bodywork for the Cancer Patient/Survivor

Nicola has her own private practice which is currently located at her home studio on in Boulder, as well as a practice at Avanti Physical Therapy in South Boulder. Here she also works with cancer patients and those individuals looking to maintain good health and well-being with the use of holistic healing bodywork.

Although Nicola specializes in working with oncology clients, she also has the experience of working with a wide range of medical conditions, both chronic and acute, including conditions related to the respiratory, digestive, muscular-skeletal, nervous, and reproductive systems as well as skincare. Her main goal is to support her clients own healing mechanisms during times of illness, stress and emotional discomfort by choosing a modality that is best suited to their condition.

Her aromatherapy treatments combine the power of smell with the power of touch to promote and maintain both physiological and psychological well being, whilst Reflex Touch is a gentle yet powerful exploratory foot treatment that can restore balance and harmony to the whole body.

She also holds classes teaching parents and caregiver’s infant massage and discusses its importance in encouraging nurturing touch.

My treatment in Florida with Nicola was so helpful that I tracked her down after her move to Colorado for a follow-up. I was rather skeptical that rubbing essential oils on my stomach could produce such great results for my digestive issues but now I’m a believer. Nicola can tell more about your health from your feet than your annual physical.

For the last 30 years, I’ve been receiving bodywork of all kinds, seeking relief and healing from the symptoms of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFIDS). Among the great techniques and excellent practitioners out there, I am happy to put Nicola McGill right up at the top. Nicola is a master of Aromatherapy and Morrell Foot Reflexology, as well as other practices, but perhaps even more essential to me is her gift of healing touch. By the touch of her hands, I know she is right there, present with me, gently guiding my body into a state of ease, release and deep sense of “ahhhhh!” My sessions with Nicola are a highlight of my week.

I’ve been receiving massages from Nicola for about two years. I look forward to each weekly session, and I’ve never been disappointed. Before each massage, Nicola prepares an aromatherapy blend that is customized to any special health conditions I am experiencing. Nicola’s nurturing caring manner contributes to an exceptionally relaxing experience that has helped lower my stress levels and support my overall good health.

I came to Nicola with a very hard and swollen lymph gland in my right groin area.  It has been swollen for about a month and I was unable to get it to release on my own.  The work that Nicola did was very gentle and relaxing, but also very powerful in that it got my lymph to totally release within 2 days of the treatment!  Part of the success, I believe was the education she gave me to about the lymph system, in general, and also how to work with oils and massage to support my continual healing.  I would not hesitate to seek her out again and would also highly recommend her to friends and family.
